L’Oreal Rouge Caresse Ingredients

Further to a question the other day, I realised that I had not included the ingredients for the Lovely Rose and Tempting Lilac (sometimes they are not on the packaging, or impossible to find on the net). So I thought I would post them here, just in case anyone was needing them (and didn’t see my reply to the question in the comments bar). So, Lovely Rose and Tempting Lilac both have the same ingredients list (I can’t vouch for any of the other shades though), they are:

L’Oreal Colour Riche – #303 Rose Tendre

I picked up this L’Oreal Colour Riche lippie along with a few others a few weeks ago. The L’Oreal Colour Riche in #303 (Rose Tendre) is from the Naturals Made for Me range and is designed with blonde colouring in mind. It is a frosty baby pink, which has cool undertones, like all Colour Riche lipsticks, it has a strong scent of parma-violets, which I love, but others may not! I’m not sure this shade and the frost finish really suits my skintone, but I like to wear it when I am having a bit of a barbie moment (it reminds me of something I would expect on the Stepford Wives, lol). Like other lipsticks which I have tried from the Colour Riche range, it is thick and creamy (although this is a little more of the sheer side until you layer it), it lasts between 3-4 hours because of the thick application, although this sometimes means that it picks up on every fleck and bit of dry skin on my lips and does also settle into liplines ! That said the Colour Riche lipsticks don’t dry out my lips at all and this is a minor miracle, especially during the dry winter months!

L'Oreal Colour Riche #303, Rose Tendre Swatch

This costs £8.19 to buy and you can pick the Colour Riche range at most Boots, Superdrug and alot of grocery retailers carry a good selection of L’Oreal products too now. I like the gold case and the fact that the lid is slightly stiff to remove (and won’t fall off in my bag). The lipstick bullet comes with L’Oreal Paris embossed in it, which is a nice touch, my only one niggle with the packaging is that the lids are slanted (and it’s the same with most of the L’Oreal Lipsticks), so I can’t store them upside down, which is the easiest way to pick a colour from my lipstick holder.

Have you got any of the Colour Riche range? Which is your favorite, or which would you recommend?.. I am on the prowl for new colours all the time! Thanks.

L’Oreal Caresse Sheer Lipstick – 03 Lovely Rose

I spotted some new L’Oreal lippies and dived in (I know I have been on a L’Oreal binge recently, but every time I visit the UK they have a 3for2 offer on L’Oreal, I swear ). These are the new L’Oreal Caresse range and I think they are meant to be the L’Oreal answer to the much coveted Revlon Lip Butters (not that Revlon have actually seen fit to release them in Europe yet – from what I have seen!) or maybe the Dior Addict Lipsticks. Please bear in mind that having tried to search for official PR on this new Caresse range, I came up with zip – not even the store where I bought them have any information on their website! So if I am way off on what they are supposed to do/be, then sorry!

The Lovely Rose shade is a sheer soft bubblegum pink without shimmer when swatched and is quite cool toned when worn, even though this is sheer it still packs a little punch in the colour department – but it’s not buildable and will never be an opaque shade. It feels quite thick and waxy when worn, but I’m not buying the whole ‘moisturising’ thing from this range (if that is the point of them…) – after it had worn off, my lips didn’t feel any better in terms of moisturisation. As you can see it does pick up the dry bits on my lips and settles slightly too – but this doesn’t show too obviously unless you’re really looking. The wear is a couple of hours if you’re not eating or drinking – so not amazing.

L'Oreal Carresse Lipstick - 03 Lovely Rose

These cost £7.99 each and come in a range of colours (although I only picked up a couple initially). The packaging is nice, with a barrel which has a similar appearance to the Dior Addict Lipsticks and a clear cap with a coloured top, allowing you to see the lipstick. Unlike most of the other L’Oreal lipsticks, these have a flat top, so storage is easier (big thumbs up!) – but the lid is still fairly stiff to open – so no chance of it opening and messing up the inside of your bag (another thumbs up)!

Overall I like the colour, which needs no time to apply and is great when you just want to brighten you face (great for spring). It is cool toned, but so much that it clashes with my rather warm complexion – in fact it kind of complemented it in a fashion faux-pas 80’s way! However, I wouldn’t say this range of lipsticks is moisturising on me and it did show up the little flakies on my lips! I’m looking forward to trying out more from the nudes in this range. Did you pick up any of these new Caresse lipsticks? What did you think? Catch you later! Sarah xx

L’Oreal Caresse Sheer Lipstick – 101 Tempting Lilac

The new L’Oreal Caresse range has been released recently, although official PR anywhere has been a basic dead-end – so sorry if the usage is wrong, but this is just my impression. I think they are meant to be the L’Oreal answer to the much coveted Revlon Lip Butters or maybe the Dior Addict Lipsticks (from the packaging?).

I picked up just a couple of these to get some first impressions before I go over the top on them!! The first one I want to chat about is the one I find most wearable, called Tempting Lilac . I think the name for the Tempting Lilac shade is a bit off – I cannot see how this is really that lilac, at most I would call this a light mauve, a sheer dusty rosey-mauve in fact! Like the other shade I have tried in the Caresse range (Lovely Rose) it packs a little punch in the colour department, but it’s not buildable in the slightest. It feels quite thick and waxy when worn, but I’m not buying the whole ‘moisturising’ thing for this range (if this is what they are meant to do) – after it had worn off, my lips didn’t feel any better in terms of moisturisation for either of the shades I bought. As you can see it does pick up the dry bits on my lips very slightly, but doesn’t settle into the cracks too badly. The wear is a couple of hours if you’re not eating or drinking – so not amazing, but it is only a sheer lippie so I didn’t expect long wear like I would a matte finish (for example).

These cost £7.99 each and come in a range of colours (although I only picked up a couple initially). The packaging is nice, with a barrel which has a similar appearance to the Dior Addict Lipsticks and a clear cap with a coloured top, allowing you to see the lipstick. Overall I like the colour, it is a really nice and easy shade for me to whack on at any time and is great for work when I need to be more subtle on the make-up front. It needs no time to apply and is great when you just want to add a little splash of colour to your lips. As I said, I wouldn’t say this one was moisturising on me and it did show up the little flakies on my lips a bit. I’m looking forward to trying out more from the nudes/browns in this range next time I see them! Did you pick up any of these new Caresse lipsticks? What did you think? Any other suggestions for a more nude shade from the Caresse range? Hope you’re all having a great week!! Sarah xx

L’Oreal Colour Riche – #370 Crazy Fushia

I picked up this L’Oreal Colour Riche lipstic, along with a couple of others after I re-discovered my beloved number 255, which is absolutely gorgeous – I might even get a back up (don’t you love them ones!). I wanted to check out what other shades I might love and this is a crazy bright colour, which I love in the tube, but am often scaried to fork out serious cash for from more expensive brands!

The L’Oreal Colour Riche in #370 (Crazy Fuchsia) is from the Colour Intense range and is designed with light brunette colouring in mind (I’m a dirty blonde, so I reckon I can get away with it!). It is a nice glossy bright fuchsia pink which swatches quite opaque and has that real WoW factor when worn. Like all the other Colour Riche lippies, it has quite a strong scent of parma-violets, which I love, but others may not! I like the Colour Riche range in general, as they are really thick and creamy, last between 3-4 hours because they apply so thick (and these bright colours last a bit of a stain so do show up for longer than the more natural shades), although this sometimes means that they pick up on every fleck and bit of dry skin on my lips, but they don’t actually dry out my lips, which is nice! I don’t have many bright, BRIGHT colours like this in my collection, but it is the type of shade which I should imagine would be a good MAC dupe of one of their colours! (Don’t ask me which one though!)

I some more colours from the Colour Riche range which I will be adding to the blog, so keep your open for more swatches if you like these . Have you got any of the Colour Riche range?
