Urban Decay – Baked Bronzer in Baked

If you follow the blog you will have seen the review I did of the Urban Decay Baked Bronzer in Toasted, at the same time I picked out the UD Baked Bronzer in Baked. This was all in a bid to try to get ready for the impending summer . As I said before, these bronzers have been baked in the same style as the MAC Mineralised Skinfinishes and so have the same type of dome appearance and come in a similar type of case, which is great for storing with other MSFs if you have any. Baked is the medium of the three shades released and it is a balance between the matte finish Toasted and the shimmer finish in Gilded (which I didn’t get). The powder in Baked is a warm peach with a subtle shimmer finish (not massive chunks). It is very finely milled and so easy to pick up on a brush, so although a single heavy swatch makes this look more on the orange side, when applied with a brush it is very easy to blend and creates a nice naturally bronzed look. It is great to use an all-over tanned look or even just to add a little shade to your cheeks, I know that when my skin picks up more colour I will be using this more. The box says it can be used dry (with a buffing brush) or wet (with a sponge) for a long-lasting effect. This can be used on eye areas, lips, skin and body – so a good general all rounder – I like .

It cost £20.00 for 7.5g of product, which I know will last me all summer and some. The case is a bronze colour so location within an ever-expanding collection is easy enough (which is great, as if you do have some MAC MSFs you’ll know that feeling of having to pick out every one to find which one you actually want!) the clear plastic on the front also has a very pretty design on it, with purple lettering. No shelf life is given and ingredients are shown below.

Overall I’m fairly loving this new item and I know it’ll come into its own in the next few months, like Toasted, at first I expected it to be mega orange by the looks of the first swatch, but it is surprisingly subtle. The buffed out swatch on my hand is 2-3 layers to make sure it shows up in the photo! These Baked Bronzers by Urban Decay came out last summer, did you get any? What did you think? Any hints or tricks for application? Feel free to comment below. Thanks.
